At 14 years old, I knew this was the path I was destined for. After graduating high school I enrolled at Carson City Beauty Academy. I believe that education never ends. If you want to be great at what you do, you have to realize the industry is always changing; styles come back with a new twist. It is my job to know the trends and how to achieve the desired result for each of my guests.

I was raised in Gardnerville and have been doing hair for over six year. Always being involved in the arts and musical theater, as a kid, I started styling my friends’ hair for performances and would experiment with my own. After Cosmetology School, I attended classes in Los Angles, to advance my color techniques. The American Board of Certified Colorists has an annual summit, which I refer to as “colorist’s boot camp.” It’s 16 hours, of intimate classes, that are filled with information on techniques, the science behind color, business, communication skills, etc. I am blessed to have learned from top celebrity stylists Misael Aponte, Dwayne Ross and Anthony Morrison (Sear Genius Session 1 Winner) and the creators behind the color.
When asked what inspires me, I say one word, “Life.” During consultations I feel it is important to know my guests lifestyle. This is one of the most important factors for me to be able to create the style that best suits them. You have to consider what they do for a living and what sort of maintenance is realistic for each guest.

Communication is key, one of the best ways to describe your desired look to a stylist is to bring in a picture, generally we are very visual people and everyone has different verbiage.
